Warriors of Faith

Without True Satguru

Sixth Satguru, Guru Hargobind Sahib ji Maharaj, during his stay at Daroli Bhai ki, one day went for Hunting in nearby Jungles. As Satguruji and Jatha of Sikhs reached jungle and started hunting, there came a heavy sound, like of a trumpet. The sound was coming from bushes nearby, and as Sikhs moved forward to see what was making noise, they saw a large python lying in bushes and groaning with pain. Satguruji rode his horse towards the big snake and ordered a Sikh to kill it and relieve it of its pain. A Sikh moved forward and killed the snake, and as he died, Satguruji smiled. Gursikhs asked Maharaj, from your smile, we can understand that there is a game of higher realms which has been played here, which we lowly jeevs don’t understand. Please enlighten us about what has happened.

Guru Hargobind Sahib ji maharaj smiled and said, Beloved Gursikhs, this snake was a human in previous birth and pretended to be a holy man, a Sant, and looted hundreds of thousands of people of their money, their honour and their faith in his previous life. He was not a Satguru or Saint, but with help of Ridhi-Sidhi accumulated with power of Jap-tap, he pretended to be one. But he couldn’t liberate himself or his disciples and due to his greed of money, he came back in form of a Snake.  Sikhs asked Maharaj, if he couldn’t liberate himself and his disciples, where are his disciples? Maharaj asked a Sikh to turn snake’s body upside down with his spear and Sikh did same. There were thousands of ants and worms who were eating up snake’s body, causing him pain. Maharaj said ‘ these ants and worms are the disciples of this fake guru who have come back in form of these worms to extract what he had looted from them in previous life’.

This saakhi has been well recorded in all Granths, and shared by nearly every Mahapurakh and Giani. But do we as Sikhs have learnt anything from it? Till today we have Sikhs who go to fake gurus, babas and pakhandis, losing their wealth to greed of these greedy men, their values, their faith, their purity, their dedication to truth and Sikhi of Guru Granth Sahib ji. We have Sikhs who go to Radhaswamis, Sarsewala, Naamdharis, Narkdharis and others cults and sects, leaving path of Gursikhi of Guru Granth Sahib ji. Ask any of their followers and they have a common answer, ‘what our Guruji or Babaji says is written in baani of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. In our Babaji’s dera, Baani is read and discussed, so what is wrong in going to them?’ And it’s true. 99% cults and sects started with their Babas keeping Guru Granth Sahib ji’s saroop in their deras and places. Till today, 95% fake babey in Punjab have saroop of Guru Granth Sahib ji parkash in their deras and homes, but is parkash of Guru Granth Sahib ji and reading of Baani of Guru Granth Sahib ji enough when 99% things going on are against Gursikhi and Gurmat? No, it is not, still Sikhs go to fake gurus, babey and pakhandi sadhus. I have seen Amritdhari Sikhs sitting in deras of radhaswamis and Sarsewala. Can they be called Amritdhari Gursikhs? No, they cannot be called Gursikhs or Khalsa, they may seem like Amritdharis or Sikhs, but they are not. They are not sons and daughters of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj, but slaves of Pakhandi Gurus and Babas.

Why a Sikh needs to go to a baba or sadhu? Don’t we have Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj, our Jaagdi Jot Satguru ji to guide us? Don’t we have Shaheed Singhs of Guru to guide us? Don’t we have Gursikh parcharaks who can help us understand Baani and Gurmat with their Katha and Kirtan? We have, then why a Sikh has to become a Chela of someone who comes between a Sikh and his/her Guru? Why a Sikh needs guidance from someone else when the Merciful Satguruji stands on his/her Sikhs head and makes him understand Baani and Gurmat himself. What does Guru mean? Teacher, master ….so isn’t our Guru capable of, able enough to make us understand Baani, Truth and unite us with Waheguru? Guru is capable, but we Sikhs have lost the Prem, Shardha, dedication and faith on Guru, this is the reason we are suffering, this is the reason we are divided and confused. Maharaj says in Baani-
Kabeer, what can the True Guru do, when His Sikhs are at fault?
The blind do not take in any of His Teachings; it is as useless as blowing into bamboo. ||158||

There is no harm in going to educated and Naam abhyaasi gursikhs to discuss gurbaani if we don’t understand something, there is no harm in doing sangat of a naam abhyaasi gursikh who will tell us about Gurbaani, help us understand Baani and history better, so that our spiritual jeevan is uplifted, but there is no way a Sikh can have blind faith on some one whose teachings contradict Baani of Guru Granth Sahib ji and Jeevans of Brahmgiani Mahapurakhs who have won this game of love, as it is Brahmgiani Mahapurakhs who have lived Baani all their life. Just to clear the point regarding satkaar of Brahmgiani Mahapurakhs, these Mahapurakh Sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji should be respected from heart, as they are Mahapurakhs who have spent their life in service of Panth, helping Sikhs in times of distress, preaching truth of Guru’s Baani to world without expecting anything in return from people, taking pain and suffering of Panth on themselves and feeling pain of entire Panth as their own and giving their lives for Panth instead sitting uselessly like Hindu yogis. Those were the Mahapurakhs who never claimed to be close to Waheguru (which they were), never claimed to ‘Talk to Guru Gobind Singh ji everyday’, never asked people to believe in them as Sant or Baba or Godman. These Mahapurakhs lived Baani in their lives, never talked out of Baani and never cursed anyone (like some so-called pakhandis do today). Such Gursikhs of past and present need to be given full respect and honour as it is Maharaj’s khushi when his beloved Gursikhs are honoured and respected. But in today’s age of Kalyug, it is very difficult and hard to distinguish between truths and false, so it is better to believe in Only Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj and Shaheed Singhs of Panth (who have proved their love for Guru with their blood).

Guru Gobind Singh ji Sahib had warned us 300 years back, of times such as today, when Pakhandis would go out in thousands and loot people’s wealth, destroy their faith and dedication. This was the reason Maharaj asked Sikhs to believe only in Guru Granth Sahib ji , and no one else. Most of us might have heard about the incident where Guru Gobind Singh ji burned alive 700 Masands at Anandpur Sahib. Fifth Satguru Guru Arjan Dev ji started system of Masands, who were deputed to collect Daswandh and other offerings of Sikhs and present them to Guruji. As the time went by, Masands grew stronger and stronger, at times even challenging authority of Guru Sahibs. During Tenth Satguruji’s time, corruption of Masands was at its highest, with sangat from all over the world complaining to Satguruji about high-handedness of Masands, their arrogant and insulting attitude and their misdeeds. Masands used to force poor Sikhs into giving them money, clothes, food and jewels and if some Sikh refused, they used to threaten the Sikhs with ‘Shraap’ (Curse). Frightened by authority Guruji gave to Masands, Sikhs had to fulfil demands of Masands. When Guru Gobind Singh ji came to know about evil ways of Masands, misuse of power given by Guru, Maharaj asked Gursikhs to tie and bring all the Masands to him. 700 Masands were captured and brought to Guruji. Here Guruji put oil in a large cauldron (Deg) and boiled alive the evil masands in that oil. Some were burnt alive on orders of Guruji. Isn’t this amazing? Fifth Satguru ji gives power and authority to Masands but tenth Satguruji burns them alive at Anandpur Sahib and then orders Sikhs in his Hukamnaama ‘not to have any relation with Masands’. Why? What was the reason Satguruji did that? Reason was Guru’s Love for his Sikh. It was a direct lesson by Guru Gobind Singh ji to Sikhs of all the times that whoever will ever try to come between Sikh and Guru, try to act as a middleman between a Sikh and Guru will face the same consequences.  It was proof of Guru Gobind Singh ji’s love to his Sikhs that Maharaj will himself take care of his each and every Sikh, without any need of middleman. And then Maharaj ordered Sikhs not to have any relation with Masands in his Hukamnaamas. Who were these Masands? Maharaj knew, that in all times, there are people who try to act as middlemen between Sikh and Guru, who try to exploit Faith and Love of Sikhs, loot their wealth and money, misuse their faith and love, such people are known as Masands. Maharaj asked his Sikhs to beware of such people and asked Sangat of all times to create a bond of Love with Guru directly, without any middlemen. That was the time Guruji made his Sangat ‘ KHALSA’. (Khalsa in Persian means a territory directly under control of Emperor , with no minister, general or governor having any authority or control over it.) Guru Gobind Singh ji made his Sangat ‘Khalsa’, directly under orders of Guru, without any middlemen.

Are we Khalsa? Ask yourself this question and see within yourself, are we directly under command of Guru Gobind Singh ji? But these Masands are still around. Some started off with keeping Guru Granth Sahib ji in their places, and when Sangat increased, they removed Maharaj’s parkash and became Gurus themselves (i.e – Radhswami, Nirankaari, Sarsewala etc.).
There are hundereds others who have Parkash of Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj in their places and in garb of Gursikhi, they carry on their own business, of making money and looting people. Whenever a person does some Jap-Tap, he is bound to have some ridhi-sidhi, but people started using these Ridhi-Sidhi just for their own peronsal use, for making wealth, creating their own paths and becoming Gurus. Guru Gobind Singh ji Sahib has beautifully explained this phenomenon in his dialogue with Akaal Puarkh Waheguru, wherein Waheguru Maharaj tell Satguruji about misuse of power given by him.

Then the Immortal Lord established the accomplished ascetics and the saints.
They too were unsuccessful in realizing the Supreme Lord.
They, who happened to be shrewd in the world, Set up their individual creeds.(14)
None could realize the Supreme Lord.
On the contrary, they spread enmity, conflict and ego.
Just as the tree is ablaze with the fire of its leaves, rubbing each other. (The populace was burning by the fire of spite, enmity and ego.)
But none followed the highway of the Lord.(15)
They, who attained a little spiritual power, Started their individual faiths.
And none recognized the Supreme Lord. Rather such people became mad with ego.(16)

With the power given by Satguruji, these people start distorting Baani and Sikhi, creating their individual groups and cults. What more ninda and beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib ji could be done, then keeping Satguruji as a source of looting innocent but stupid people? And Amritdhari Gursikhs are no exception. There are Babas out there with round turbans and different chole, showing off as Gursikhs and looting people coming to them, taking over their minds by claiming to talk to Guru Gobind Singh ji and pursuing their own evil motives. I have come across many such people in my life, who in hope of making me their chela and becoming a middleman between me and my Satguruji, have tried their best by using all the means possible. But it has been Maharaj’s kirpa, despite all the bad phases in life, all the sufferings I have undergone, I never accepted ANY Dehdhari as a middleman between me and my Guru. My Sikhi, my Love, my relation to my Guru is based on Satguruji’s Kirpa. Sikhi belongs to Guru, and this thread of Love, which Guru has held in his hands, can never be broken, because Satguruji is merciful and merciful Satguru is holding an unbreakable thread. A Sikh can be weak at times, but Guru never gives up on his Sikh. It is Guru’s Kirpa with which he takes out his Sikh from hardest of times, with his Sikhi and faith intact. And such a Sikh, whose life Guru holds in his hands, can never go far from Guru. But this is game of Love, and not everyone plays it and not everyone understands it. Only those who are blessed by Satguruji and Immortal souls of Shaheeds can emerge victorious in this, not those who leave Guru, forget Guru’s bachans, and back out from Ardas done at Guru’s feet. They can never experience the Ras of Guru’s Love.

Guru Gobind Singh ji warned his Sikhs of these situations, and said that those who’ll stick to feet of Guru Granth Sahib ji will always stay in Charhdi kala, but those who’ll wander around will never attain peace. And where is peace for a Sikh except in Guru’s Charan? Ask those who go to fakers, ask them, do they have peace? Do they feel love of Guru and Waheguru? Do they feel mercy of Guru? Do they feel uplifted and close to God, to peace, to joy? Answer will be NO. Because baani of Guru Granth Sahib ji clearly states

Those dealers who abandon their Lord and Master and attach themselves to another, are drowned.
The True Guru is the boat, but few are those who realize this.

I’ll not talk about others, I myself have come across people who misguide people in name of Guru and Sikhi, who, in their ego and pride of mental powers have tried to take over my mind, who, to fulfil their ulterior motives have tried to misguide me and take me down from path of Sikhi, and mind it, these people are not holy, not spiritual, within them lies demons of evil, which doesn’t let them be in peace, which keeps in them fire of Haume and Ahankaar burning. I have had my experiences with such people, and one such was with a Baba who asked me to ‘leave my past life’s relations and commitments’ (My parents, my mission, my home and my beliefs). I refused, and the person tried his best to bring me down, by misusing his Ridhi-Sidhis, and in the process he succeeded, by making my body and mind suffer, by taking away from me some things I valued and I Loved, which meant a lot to me, but after going through a hard battle of suffering, Guru Gobind Singh ji’s Kirpa saved me, took me out of the hell I was in, saved my Sikhi and my Faith. The Baba wanted me to be his chela, and I was stubborn not to be chela of anyone except Guru Granth Sahib ji and Shaheed Singhs of Guru, and there was a battle. In this battle, I didn’t have powers like him, but I had my Guru, Shaheed Singhs to help me and protect me and I was saved, scars of that time are still there on my body and my mind, and my health took a severe beating due to this, but I learnt some lessons out of that. Biggest lesson was, a Sikh should completely avoid going to anyone who claims to be a Sant- Sadhu and Baba, flaunts his powers openly, and tries to be a middleman between you and guru, as middleman is equal to Masand. Had I not gone to his place, I would not have gone through the hell I went through, and that was the lesson, that when a Sikh places his hopes on anyone except his Guru, his Father, His best friend, Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj, that Sikh is bound to suffer. I understood it, some people didn’t. And some people will never understand, with their blind faith in blind people, which will eventually lead them to dark pit of hell, the fire where no one will come to save them. Just like that snake and the ants eating him up, all these pakhandis out there, and the people who leave True Satguru, Guru Granth Sahib ji, will suffer one day. It may look that these people who go to fakes are happy, joyous, prosperous from outside, but deep inside, deep somewhere, they are blank, they are empty, and they are life-less. And Gursikhs maybe going through hard times, suffering, but Gursikhs have a bright future. Suffering on path of Guru makes a Gursikh firm in his faith and his ideals, the suffering gives power to Gursikh to walk more firmly on this path of love. This is the power of Guru’s Love.

Today the Panth is broken and divided and weakened, reason is, we Sikhs have left our faith in Satguru Guru Granth Sahib ji. We see Guru Granth Sahib ji as a book, nothing else, we don’t fear Guru, we don’t Love Guru, we don’t keep up our commitments and Ardas to Guru, we have lost the respect and Love for Guru Sahib. And when a Sikh loses Love and faith, he becomes empty from inside, weakened, and anyone can finish that Sikh. This is what has happened in villages and cities of Punjab. We lost our faith and Love for Guru Granth Sahib ji, Our Gurus and our Shaheeds, and when we broke away from them and their ideals, we got weak. It was this weakness of ideals and morals, of faith and dedication which has turned us into slaves, slaves of Governments, slaves of pakhandi Babey and Gurus, slaves of evil. Which power was able to finish or overpower Sikhs of 18th century? No one. Only reason was, Sikhs of those times had their loyalty to Only Guru Granth Sahib ji and Panth. It was Guru and Panth which mattered to those Sikhs, not their personal lives or thinkings. Those Sikhs never went to pakhandi Gurus and Babas for having male-childs, for business and prosperity and for getting peace of mind. Instead, they were courageous enough to sacrifice their small sons, babies for Guru. They left their homes and lands and preferred living in Jungles just for Guru and Sikhi. They took peace from Baani and Naam of Guru, from their sacrifice, from their love and devotion to Guru, not from yogis and sadhus.

And in the end, those Sikhs won. If we Sikhs of today want to be in Charhdi Kala, wish to have our own Khalsa Raaj, wish to have a strong and prosperous Sikh society and Nation, we will have to leave evils of mind behind and devote ourself to our Beloved Satguruji. We will have to go out in villages and cities and awaken and enlighten our Sikh brothers and sisters to come back to feet of Guru Granth Sahib ji. We will have to give the message of Guru’s Love to Sikhs, and Sikhs will have to give up their greed and their ego, and come to feet of Guru Granth Sahib ji. Which is the object we cannot have from Guru Granth Sahib ji, peace, prosperity, children, wealth, everything is there in Guruji’s feet, its just our way of asking which we need to change. Guru is always merciful; it’s just Sikh who doesn’t know how to get his paap forgiven from Guru. The day each and every Sikh commits himself/herself to Guru Granth Sahib ji, to charhdi kala of Panth, to the mission of Shaheed Singhs, these small worldly things will not matter. These fakers were there in times of Guru Nanak dev ji, they were there during Guru Arjan Devji and times of Guru Gobind Singh ji, they were there during times of Baba Deep Singh ji and Baba Mani Singh ji, but they didn’t come forward to serve humanity, to defend the poor and helpless, to stand up for Truth and Dharam. Where were they? And today when there is Adharam and Paap all over, innocents and poor suffer, hunger and poverty rule, where are these so-called Gurus and Babas?  During these times also, it was one and only Sant-Sipahi Khalsa, Son of Guru Gobind Singh ji, Sant Jarnail Singh ji who stood up for Dharam.

I can go on and on writing on this topic, and I plan to write some follow-up articles on this issue, which is the BIGGEST issue concerning Khalsa panth today, as these pakhandis have divided and destroyed power of Panth with their evil deeds, but someday, with kirpa of Satguru Guru Granth Sahib ji, people will realize the truth. Only thing I worry for is, what if that day is too late, then the story of Snake and ants will be repeated. Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji told about fal these fakes will get one day

Those (fraudulent persons) who, in the world, display different (artificial) guises to win the people over;
Ultimately, they will be chopped down by the dagger of Death and will get their resting place in hell.(56)

Baba Deep Singh ji - Saviour of Paapis

Dhan Baba Deep Singh ji Shaheed.

Today I’ll not talk about people and their thoughts, I’ll write something about my relation with Babaji.  When I was a kid, my Mother used to tell me about Waheguru, his existence and Power. My Grandfather (Nanaji) started my santhya when I was a little kid. He did sangat of Nanaksar wale Sant Baba Gurdev Singh ji and there was a Nanaksar thaath near my mother’s village where he used to take me. Most of the time, he used to tell me sakhiya of Shaheed Singhs and their presence, and as it is followed in Nanaksar and other sampardas, he read lot of Sukhmani Sahib, as it is believed that Sukhmani sahib brings to you Shaheedi Pehra ( Protection of Shaheed Singhs).

The two people he used to talk about most were Baba Deep Singh ji Shaheed and Baba Sukha Singh ji Shaheed. They were his favourite Heroes, as their deeds are unmatched in history. As I grew up, influence of Shaheed Singhs and their lives took over me and I started my research on lives of Shaheed Singhs. I still get amazed sometimes that fifteen years back, I got to read some very valuable and rare granths and books which have been virtually removed from markets and the valuable material in them has been lost. The inspiring and marvellous stories of bravery of puratan Shaheeds which were capable of giving life to a dying person have been hidden from Sikhs and what is being fed through internet and dodgy translations is a very different form of Sikhi, away from truth, mischievously misinterpreted and deeply sectarian, with each of modern day groups claiming to be real and distorting history and maryada to suit their needs. And when the so-called Faithful started distortions and tailoring, nindaks got a chance to question the maryada and history.

The Piaar and Faith people had 20-25 years ago is gone, and the people who lived through that period of 1984-1994 are today busy in making life for themselves, their children and coming generation good and bright, sitting in luxuries of western countries, without making any effort to stand up, defend and preach Truth of Guru’s Shabad and Sikh History. There are very few out there who are actually doing something for Panth in the field, and most of them are Naujawan Singhs. This period of depression started around 1994-1995 when Panth had to cease its War of Freedom due to circumstances. Situation today is same on Warfront, but it has deteriorated on Maryada and History front. It was during those times when I used to go to lots of Sant Mahapurkhs for guidance and vidya, and at most places, I saw something or another happening which was ‘clearly’ against Baani of Guru Granth Sahib ji. It was during those disheartening times that I heard one Mahapurakh saying in his diwan the following words

‘’ Doing Sangat of a Brahmgiani Mahapurakh never means doing sangat of his body. When you read about a Brahmgiani, you do his Sangat, when you think about a Brahmgiani, you do his Sangat, when you listen about a Brahmgiani, you do his Sangat, when you listen, read his bachans in a book or in an audio cassette, you do his sangat, and when you follow his bachans, you do his Sangat. Just think about a Brahmgiani Sant anytime, he’ll be there, around you, looking at you, protecting you, guiding you. A Brahmgiani is form of Nirankaar, just like Nirankaar Waheguru is everywhere, in every heart, Brahmgiani is also there in everyone, every heart’’.

That gave me heart, because I knew that in these times it was really hard to stick to Dharam. People thought about ‘Dharha’ (group), not Dharam. Shaheeds thought about Dharam, nothing else. It was really hard to find out the truth with own confused little mind, so I left it on Vadde Babaji (that’s what I call Baba Deep Singh ji) to take me out of this mess and guide me on path of truth, as I knew I was not good enough to directly ask Guru Gobind Singh ji to guide me, me being a Paapi Jeev. I didn’t possess any learning, bhagti, vidya, Jap-tap neither back then, nor do I now. But I believe it was Kirpa of Nirankaar saroop Babaji that led me on this path. And then with the Kirpa, darshans of Brahmgiani Mahapurakhs started, one after another, I had the blessed opportunities to have darshan and listen to bachans of many Brahmgianis (sadly , only a handful of them are present physically today). This was the first fal of Babaji’s Kirpa (I believe so).

And then after the Kirpa of Vadde Babaji, blessings of various Mahapurakhs (which all happened due to kirpa of Satguru Guru Granth Sahib ji), things started clearing up. It took a bit of time though, but ultimately things got clear. The confusions about Maryada, History and Sampardas got cleared one by one. I had read virtually every Granth and book by the time I was 20, and things did make sense by then. I started asking questions to myself and the got their answers from within myself. This was in line with bachans of a blessed Mataji, who had guided me and my parents in very hard times. She used to say ‘ Son, whenever you have a question or doubt, just do aradas to Maharaj and Shaheed Singhs, you don’t have to go to anyone to get the answer, the answer will come from within yourself’. I was flattered by what Mataji said, but after few days I started having doubts on this bachan. How can someone get the answers if he/she doesn’t ask someone or read from somewhere? Very next day I was sitting in diwan of Baba Paramjeet Singh Dhadda sahib and he told about his experience. He said that when he was born, Sant Balwant Singh asked his father not to send him to school or any other place as ‘all the vidya will come on him from Guru Granth Sahib ji himself’. And he revealed that he hadn’t taken Santhya or music lesson from anywhere, still he could play the Vaaja beautifully and recite Shudh Baani (which I believed after hearing his Paath and Kirtan).

Till that day I didn’t believe in this concept of ‘Parokh Giaan’ (invisible transfer of knowledge and wisdom), but I started believing after certain experiences in life. If Sikhi is not all about mysticism, it’s certainly also not all about just reading, listening and talking. Sikhi is deep, more one dives and more precious jewels of Giaan, Prem and Ras one collects. Its just not efforts, kamaai or tapasya of an individual which take one to that place, its all Gur-parsad.  Sikhi is nothing without Gur-parsad, and no one knows how we are going to recieve Gur-parsad.

Gurparsad is not which can be seen with eyes or expressed through words, its something different, very pure, very high and very deep at same time. Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj always looks after his Sikh, with his Kirpa, with his Daya. And the Daya can be in form of guidance and protection of Shaheed Singhs, sangat of a Naam-rasiya Mahapurakh or a moment in life when Naam of Waheguru starts feeling beautiful and mind starts saying ‘Waheguru’ without any effort. There are a million ways in which Guru can do kirpa on his Sikh, and no one can reject any way. Whatever I say, whatever I write, whatever I share is not mine, these are not my words, that is the reason I have always asked Sangat to question me on ANY point they feel is contradictory to Gurmat or History, because I know and I am sure that the words shared with Sangat have the power to stand any test, as they are words of truth as blessed by Babaji and Shaheed Singhs.
Sometimes my views and writings are laughed up by people as ‘senseless’ or ‘misguiding’. But then, people with those views are a handful, who does this due to their own personal affiliations and notions of their mind. Sikhi is about Guru and Baani, Sikhi is about those who have lived Sikhi with each breath and have gone to their Guru with honour, Sikhi is about standing and speaking for Truth, whatever the consequences. The One who guides me has been with me, in the hardest of times, at times when I was about to fall, he has held me, when I was about to get lost in darkness of maya and ignorance, he has lighted my path with his mercy. Good times have come and gone, and bad times have come and gone, I have virtually died at point of life, but he has held me and given me life, not only given me life but led me through hardest of times with all his love and mercy.

I have talked to various Mahapurakhs, who tend to keep these things Gupt in modern times, and all of them had one thing to say,
‘Baba Deep Singh ji is Jathedar of Shaheedi Fauja, where he stands, Kirpa of Guru Gobind Singh ji follows’.

Reading lives of Saints like Baba Karam Singh ji Hoti Mardaan, Baba Attar Singh ji Mastuana Sahib and Baba Nand Singh ji, we come across ‘Partakh’ proof of existence and kirpa of Shaheed Singhs, which I will share with sangat in future, and it used to hurt me badly that if all Takhats, all Gurudwaras, All Mahapurakhs and Sants, all blessed souls have kirpa of Shaheed Singhs and Babaji, why don’t they talk about them openly. Getting laughed at or questioned is not an excuse to hide Truth. In fact, this thing can become an inspiring factor for youth around the world to take to Sikhi, Naam and Baani.

Today when I look back at my life and my present, I feel grateful to Babaji from all my soul and blood for being in my Life as my guide and mentor. Maybe I haven’t seen him physically, maybe I haven’t had his Darshan in this life, but I believe he is around all the time. He’s been with me where no one else could ever have, He has helped me through the times No one could have, it was with his guidance that I got darshan of blessed souls like Baba Thakur Singh ji, Baba Darshan Singh ji, Baba Hazoora Singh ji, Baba Garhgajj Singh ji and other Mahapurakhs. It’s with his kirpa that I was able to understand the Tatt Maryada of Sikhi, it was with his Kirpa that I was able to understand the true history of Sikhi, and I believe someday, with Kirpa of Babaji and Great Pita Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj, I will be able to understand ‘Ik Oaankaar’, Mool Mantar and Japji Sahib, which I haven’t been able till today. I don’t have any Jap-Tap or any Naam-Kamaaii, and believe me, I am a very big Paapi, but then, as Baba Kundan Singh ji said, ‘Whoever considers himself a Paapi and not able of getting Guru Gobind Singh ji’s Kirpa, should go to Darbar of Baba Deep Singh ji at ‘ Shaheeda Sahib’, and Baba Deep Singh ji shall get even the worst Paapi forgiven and blessed by Guru Gobind Singh ji’.

Bachans like this can be seen turning into reality at Babaji’s Sthaan in Sri Amritsar Sahib, where even those are blessed and forgiven who have given up all hope of life. (If someone doubts this, he/she can go to any Sunday to Babaji’s place and witness the shower of mercy).  Sometimes mind is puzzled, how much Kamaai Babaji had, how much Jap-Tap he did that even today, after 254 years after his Shaheedi, the faithful still feel his presence, how much Love for Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj he had, that till today he ‘transports and transfers’ Guru’s Kirpa on those who are not worthy of Kirpa. What was his Nitnem? What was his Kamaai? What was his Awastha that till today, even after centuries have passed, no other Sikh Shaheed or Sant has risen to level of Baba Deep Singh ji Maharaj? (sadly, I haven’t got answers to these questions still, and I really don’t wish to get the answers to these as I know I can never comprehend Babaji’s Awastha, as for me, He is Partakh Rabb).

I have been sharing Gian blessed by Babaji regarding Sikhi, History and Maryada. And I have always welcomed questions and discussions regarding the things I write or share, as it is duty of Sikhs to discuss Gurmat and Gurbaani. Sikhi is all about Faith and Love, and it is said that ‘one day, we become like the one we love’.

I know I or anyone else can never be like Babaji, but atleast we can try to be his Charan-dhoor, because sticking to his Charan, one day we can reach Darbar of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj. Love Sants and you become a Sant, Love Shaheeds and One day you become a Shaheed, love Satguru ji and one day you become a part of Satguruji. It’s all about Love. Sikhi is path of Love, and on this path of Love, who is better inspiration to walk than Baba Deep Singh ji Maharaj, who walked on this Path with his Head on his hand.

If someone wants to learn Sikhi, learn it from Shaheeds, Shaheeds like Babaji and Baba Mani Singhji, Baba Taru Singh ji and others….they will teach what Sikhi is, how to walk on path of Sikhi and Guru without fear. You will not even know when they come in your life, be a part of your life, and start guiding you and making you able, able of fighting for Sikhi, able of Dying for Sikhi.

I have felt that kirpa in my life, felt that light and guidance in my life and when due to my own mistakes I go far from them, there comes a time of depression. But then after seeing me stuck in Maaya, they get merciful and hold my hand and show me path again, path brightened by their kirpa and presence. It’s hard to describe it for me though, and it’ll be hard to understand for some people as well, but then, these things are better experienced than said or read.

Dhan Dhan Baba Deep Singh ji Shaheed Maharaj

Babaji-My Support, My Guide

Years ago, I met a Mahapurush, or say, He came in my life as Light of Waheguru, to save me, give me life and guide me onto panth of Wahehguru.  And that Mahapurakh is one of the few this world has ever seen or will see. It was actually ardas of my mother which brought Waheguru’s mercy in my life in form of that Mahapurakh.

During times of distress and despair, he has held me, like a mother holds his son in her arms. He has saved me from falling in hell a million times, has guided me whenever I am lost in journey of life. In life we have various colours, phases and cycles. There is colour of joy and sorrow, phase of charhdi kala and despair and cycle of fate, of reaping what you sow. Sometimes person gets lost in this, going far from his true self, his purity and innocence, from his basic human nature of being ‘at peace’.

There are times in life when you become so distressed that life starts looking meaningless, all around, whatever we see looks fake and burning, smiles on faces of people make you envy them, humans don’t look humans anymore, they look like demons and devils, preying on innocence of soul and drinking each other’s blood for survival. And this is true. World is mean, people are mean and mean are the actions of people who do everything for their own self.

These thoughts often bring me down. Then there are people, pretending to be your friends and well wishers in front of you and talking evil about you on your back, the people, pointing fingers on your character and blemishing character of some innocents with you in the process. What hurts is they pretend to be your friends, utterly religious and humble, do karams of Sikhi, read baani, do Kirtan and have some vidya. But looking at their jeevan, their hypocritical lifestyle and slyness, people around them take up that virtue less lifestyle and become like them.

If someone talks about morality and virtues, the people look down on you as being of medieval mindset. If someone talks about standing for your beliefs, they tag you as extremist, if you speak up the truth, take enemies of panth head-on, they label you as agent of evil forces. All these things joined with amount of pakhand and impurity which has crept into Sikhi and Sikhs, disheartens you and then the mind thinks – leave it, give up and live your life. And sincerely, I’ve passed through these situations a hundred times. I have been on the verge of mental breakdown, sometimes even thinking of suicide or going somewhere where I don’t have to face or meet such people who have just left empty karam-kaand, rituals, fake baana, fake samadhiyan, fake show-offs, people for whom virtue, honour and respect are things of middle ages, people who in pride of their materialistic superiority look down on you.

All these things are reason enough to break down a human, with a living conscience, to make him hate the world, its people and its useless traditions.

But these were the times My Mahapurakh, My Guide held me. He picked me up when I fell down, gave me courage and support to keep walking on this path, till I get to my destination, Immortality!

In all this mess called life, where truth and false, love and hate, honour and dishonour, death and life are intertwined, He has helped me recognize what is Truth and what is False.
He’s guided me with his words and his power, which are a manifestation of his Mercy. Every time life goes down, he watches, and he watches, till I am about to hit rock bottom, and when he sees that now there’s no hope left, he comes and holds sinking boat of my life, just like Guru Teg Bahadur ji did with ship of Baba Makhan Shah and brings it on surface.

In one of my recent hard times, when it was very hard for me to carry on with life, he held my hand, and said few words, the words which gave me power to continue, to live on.

‘’ In darbar of Guru Gobind Singh ji, when you stand before him, your conscience (antar-aatma) will be a witness to your deeds. The deeds we do overlooking antar-aatma, without listening to its voice, are the ones for which we all pay. So when you stand in front of beloved Satguruji, so that you don’t have to bow your head in shame, do such deeds which will be for honour, for truth and for Guru.
Live your life as Son of Guru, he’ll save you, protect you.  Never step aside or back out from True Sikhi ideals, True beliefs of Sikhi, speak the Truth, even if that means sure death. Don’t leave path of love, even if that means getting burned alive, getting cut to pieces or sawed alive. The world will honour you, Guru will Love you and your Self will become Immortal, powerful and Free!  Protect your Dharam, and one day Dharam will protect you, stand for your Love, and Love will honour you, look at your conscience and your conscience will guide you. Always remember, Guru watches you every breath, every second of life, and He’s the one who does justice to all, being most merciful at same time. Ask him, for guidance, for light and for help. But when you ask him, ask only him, and no one else. Sikhi is path of One, believe in One, Love one. Those who look for guidance and support elsewhere will surely lose the path, lose the game and keep suffering in this circle of life and death, those who have True Guru, Guru Gobind Singh ji looking over them, will be freed by Guru. Those who give up on Guru, on immortal souls, and be slaves of their minds will not get anything. Leave the pretenders aside, they don’t matter to Guru or his Shaheeds, pits of hell-fire are ready for them to burn in. those who can’t speak up and stand up for Sikhi are not Sikhs, they hold no value in Guru’s eyes. ‘’

These are the bachans which he shared with me this time and gave me courage. And one thing he always says is, don’t think the suffering is for long, it’ll pass away like dream, what will remain is the memory of those moments, which will shape your destiny and destiny of those who inflicted that pain upon you.

I get the heart to carry on, hoping that suffering will end soon. My Mahapurakh Babaji is an Ocean of Knowledge, the Light of truth, and there is no one who is like him, who can stand in front of him and hide his misdeeds from him. He taught me virtue and how to live with honour, how to stand for things I believe in. Sikhi is not just about being amritdhari, putting up kakkars and baana, just doing your nitnem and simran, it’s about Living a Life of Purity, integrity and honour. It’s about having the courage to stand up for things you believe in, it’s about willing to die for your faith and things you live in your life.

Talking about Sikhi is a good thing, but living Sikhi in your jeevan is better thing. What is a Sikh who doesn’t believe in the fact that his/her Guru Pita is always watching over his/her deeds? What is a Sikh who doesn’t believes and understands the fact that ONE DAY, we all have to leave this body and this planet, get out of this game and face our Guru Pita in sachkhand? That day there will be no excuse good enough to justify our actions which are contrary to humanity, Sikhi and Truth. That day we can’t blame people for our misdeeds, we can’t say, i feared this thing so I did this, I wanted that thing so I did that, NO, these things will not work. The things which will matter are Words of Our Guru, Guru Granth Sahib ji, Ardas we did in front of Guru Granth Sahib ji, commitments we made in front of Guru Granth Sahib ji.

Whatever the world says, whatever the situations in in life, whatever depth mind is in, if we love our Guru, or if we have ever , even for a moment truly loved him, He , the merciful will stand by us. When no one in the world comes to wipe our tears and console us, the Guru keeps his hand on our shoulders, looks at us with his merciful glance and gives us heart. Life is hard and bad, can be harder and worse at times and there are worst times, people can ditch us on one pretension or another, but Guru Gobind Singh ji, won’t ever.

This is what my Babaji taught me, this is what he makes me feel……and I carry on, carry on with my struggle, my fight with the Life, knowing that One day, one day I shall win.

Kalgiyan wale Pita

From the beginning of time till end of time, in the entire creation, there was not and would never be a Soul as holy, as pious, as Great, as Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj.

Millions are born and million die everyday, but no one felt pain of humanity as his own, like Guru Gobind Singh ji did.
Guru Gobind Singh was the The Saint-Poet. When he sat to sing the divine songs of Akaal Purakh Waheguru, marvels like Jaap Sahib, Akaal Ustat and Mittar Piaare nu descended on this planet through Guru’s holy words, which filled hearts of his Sikhs with Love for Creator Lord, dispelled darkness of Ignorance from minds of his Sikhs and woke them up in divine consciousness.
When he sang the ‘Ballad of War and Weapons’ as The Warrior -Poet, epics like Chandi di Vaar, Chandi Charittar and Krishnavtar were created, which had the power to remove fear of Death from minds of Humans and transform slaves and cowards into fearless Warriors.

Guru Gobind Singh was a warrior, who was invincible. There is no power in entire creation which had ability to subdue him or make him give up. He taught us how to live with Honour and Pride, he taught us how to stand up and fight for our rights. He taught us how to never budge from our beliefs and ideals. He showed us the way, way to immortality and infinity.
He didn’t concede his ground; he didn’t sign treaties with those who were oppressors, who killed innocents, he didn’t give up his stand even in hardest of times.

For others he gave up his Father, his mother, his brothers, his beloved Sons and then himself, but never asked anything in return from us.

When he was surrounded by Million strong enemy forces, there were no signs of fear or worry on his face, instead his face glowed like Sun, and The True Master took out his sword, held it with both hands and asked the Supreme Mother, Waheguru for boon of Death or Victory.
No one could have made him suffer, but he suffered for us. Who had the power to kill his Sons or his mother? No one…but he chose to suffer, sacrificed his Sons, his mother and his City of Bliss….to teach us, to teach us how to sacrifice our self on altar of Truth and Faith, on Altar of Love.

There is so much we can learn from his life, his every word; every deed is like an inspiration for us. They hold light for us, which lights up our path, our path to victory and glory, our path to immortality and infinity. But one thing which we see in his every word, his every action is – Love.

Guru Gobind Singh ji was epitome of Love. He sacrificed his family for us, why? He lied on bed of thorns and stones for us, why? Because he loved us, and He still loves us. He was Manifestation of Love, the Love which Waheguru Akaal Purakh had for his creation, that Love took form of Guru Gobind Singh ji and came on this planet, showed us path of Truth and Salvation, path of eternal bliss and immortality. There are no words in this entire creation which are enough to praise Holy Father Guru Gobind Singh ji. No title is good enough to respect him with; no praise is as high to meet his grandeur.

Maybe, we don’t have him physically around us today, but fragrance of his Love is still around. Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj is always around his Sikh, in form of his Love, in form of his Baani, in form of our breath. A Sikh need not do much to feel his presence, just need to close his eyes, fill his heart with Love and say ‘Dhan Pita Guru Gobind Singh ji’ and we will feel him, his mercy, his compassion. A Sikh can go anywhere, but everywhere he goes, Guru Gobind Singh stands with him.

Wherever a Sikh goes, whatever a Sikh does, Beloved Father stands there with us and looks at us with his loving glance. Guru Gobind Singh ji knows what’s there in our heart, as he lives deep within our own self, as our Aatma, as our Conscience, as our reason of existence.

Feel his Love, Feel him and say,

Dhan Dhan Pita Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj.

Shaheed Bhai Karaj Singh Sidhva

In the rich history of Khalsa Panth, there have been thousands and thousands of Sikhs who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Panth. As the Dehli hakumaat started their atrocities on Sikhs, singhs with honour took to arms to counter the Zulam by the Hindu government. In the long list of those Singhs, one is of forgotten hero, Bhai Karaj Singh Sidhva.

Bhai Karaj Singh's Childhood

Karaj Singh Sidhva was born in 1967 to Bibi Prakash Kaur, Bhai Sahib's father's name was Sardaar Chanan Singh. Bhai sahib was the oldest child in the family, with two younger brothers named Gursevek Singh, Gurjeet Singh and one younger sister Daljeet Kaur. Bhai sahib lived in the village Sidhva, Taseel
Patti, Jilla Tarn Taran.Bhai Karaj Singh studied at Khalra High School till 8th class. After that Bhai Sahib ji gave up his studies and started helping his father in farming. During that time (1980) Sikh movement was at its peak under the command of Sant Baba Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa Bhindranwale. One day Sant ji and jatha came to village Pikhiwind to do prachaar of Tatt Gurmat. A group of singhs from Sidhva Village including Jathedaar Bhai Gurbachan Singh ji came to meet Sant ji, in those singhs was Bhai Karaj Singh.

Meeting Sant Ji and Baba Daya Singh Ji Nihang
After hearing Sant Jarnail Singh’s speech, Bhai sahib was inspired and decided to become a son of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.Bhai sahib ji took amrit and became a Panj kakaree singh, seeing Bhai Sahib ji in a sikhi bana his family was filled with joy, but that was time where Bhai Sahib ji was needed in his real family (Khalsa Panth), that needed singhs like Bhai Sahib at that time. From that day Bhai Sahib ji and other singhs from their village often went to Sant ji and did their sangat.
Seeing this, Bhai Sahib ji’s family felt quiet bad because at that time being close to Sant Jarnail Singh ji was dangerous for entire family, due to the circumstances. Therefore Bhai Sahib’s father asked him to find a job and work.
Bhai sahib ji cleverly convinced his parents to be a akhandpathee. Bhai sahib was in deep meditation due to the santheya of Baani, which Bhai Sahib received from Sant ji. One of Bhai Sahib’s relatives was from village Sur Singh Wala. There Bhai Sahib met Baba Daya Singh ji, the Jathedaar of Baba Bidhi Chand Nihang Singh Dal. The relative introduced Bhai Sahib to Baba Daya Singh ji and asked if Bhai Sahib ji could get a job as a akandpathee in the Dal. When Baba ji saw Bhai Sahibs young age , Baba ji said “ Bhujangi bhot chota haaa…. Pelha isnu Japji Sahib to shuru karde haa.” .Bhai Sahib's relative said, Baba ji please see wat this bhujangi ( Bhai Karaj Singh) is capable of. Bhai Karaj Singh ji sat down and started doing path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, seeing a young singh do path so brilliantly Baba ji was amazed and accepted Bhai Sahib ji into the Dal.

Meeting Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma
Now Bhai Sahib ji became a Nihang Singh of Baba Bidhi Chand Dal, as a akandpathee and here Bhai Sahibb ji met Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Brahma ( KLF). Bhai Avtar Singh Bhrama was a great sikh, who lived his jeevan according to rehat of Puratan Nihang Singhs. Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Brahma had a deep vision to encounter the terrorism of the Hindu government. Through Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Brahma, Bhai Karaj Singh made his link even stronger with Sant Jarnail Singh Ji.

Now Bhai Karaj Singh hardly came to his village and spent most of his time with Sant Ji’s Jatha and stayed in Shri Darbaar Sahib complex with Nihang Singhs of Dal. During the attack on Darbar Sahib by the Brahminvaadi govt, on June 1st Bhai Sahib ji was at the complex., but came out to meet his friend at night who owned a shop just out side Darbar Sahib. Bhai Sahib ji was still at his friends shop when the CRPF surrounded Darbar Sahib, but Bhai Sahib ji's friend changed his clothes and took him out from there safely, and Bhai Sahib returned to his village to set a new aim for Khalistan.

Attack on Darbar Sahib
After the attack on Darbar Sahib by Indian Army, many khadku singhs attained shaheedi and sacrificed there lifes for panth. Thousands of innocent Sikh men, women and children were martyred by the Army and many historical literature and Gurudwaras were damaged. In these days Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma left the Dera Sur Singh Wala and made his way to the Mand, with his hand on trigger. With Bhai Avtar Singh stood Bhai Karaj Singh, shoulder to shoulder to sacrifice their lives for the panth and lift up the Sikh Freedom movement.

Working in the KLF
Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma's group did many actions around the Mand area, and Bhai Karaj Singh was involved in almost all of them. When Bhai Brahma and other KLF singhs punished police offiecer Shiv Singh , Bhai Karaj Singh was with the singhs and carried the shoot himself. During a major operation by the Indian Forces, which was “Operation Mand”, Bhai Karaj Singh ji was with Avtar Singh ji and escaped the Mand area with such cleverness that Indian Forces felt themselves like fools. Bhai Karaj Singh ji got many deep cuts and injuries from the bushes and thrones from the Mand forest.

Bhai Karaj Singh And Brahma
After this Bhai Avtar Singh Ji talked to Bhai Sahib and advised him to stay home because of Bhai Sahibs young age,who was only 19. Bhai Sahib ji was to close to the movement, he had a fire in his heart for independence, this fire turned in to flames when Sri Akal Thakat Sahib was destroyed. Bhai Sahib ji refused Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma ji's benti and said he will die with him and will not leave.

Bhai Karaj Singh was a very intelligent young man, who could think out of box. One time Bhai Avtar Singh Brahma and some other singhs needed to get out of Punjab, Bhai Karaj Singh cleverly got his mother and massi ji to go with the singhs in the car, because during that time CRPF and Punjab police often stopped singhs at road blocks, and if there were only males in the car, that caused suspicions and would make things harder for Singhs.

Family’s Love

Bhai Karaj Singh Jis family often stopped Bhai Sahib ji from taking part in the movement, because joining Sikh freedom movement was sure Death, but Bhai Sahib ji was blessed by Guru ji and never let his family's emotions come in his way. When Bhai Sahib ji came home sometimes, His mother used to say “ Karaj, je tu mar gaya ta asi kiddan jeeva ge, Etho changa ha tu sanu Pehla goli mar dey” Bhai Sahib normally used to laugh it off, but some times Bhai Sahib ji said “ Bibi jeri goli mere vaste bani ha oh at mere he bajni hai, Hor kisse de kidda baj jau? “ Then Bhai Sahib ji would say “ Bibi hor inniya mava de putt marde ne, oh vi ta mavaa ne “ . Bhai Sahib ji never told anyone his name or village name, only Bhai Brahma knew Bhai Sahib jis original name, this is the reason why no policemen could ever get to Bhai Sahibs family, till the end.

After Avtar Singh's Shaheedi
Just few months later after Bhai Brahma's Shaheedi, Bhai Sahib ji made a plan to lift the movement in other areas, so singhs spread out around Punjab in to other towns. Bhai Sahib ji decided to go to his Aunt's village, Bhalanda which is near Mitthepur ( Jallandhar}. Bhai Sahib ji now lived with his maasi and worked as a milk man and also did work for the panth. Recognizing touts and punishing them and other enemies, here Bhai Sahib ji also made new recruits, who fought with him in the battle field.

Later on Bhai Karaj Singh also called his whole family there, now his younger brother worked as a milk man and Bhai Sahib as a full time soldier of Khalistan. Bhai Sahib used to say that ''when I get caught, that will be my last Sat Sri Akal, and I will not get the people caught who gave me food and shelter” . During Bhai Sahib jis time , he met a Singh called Tarlochan Singh Viring, who became his close friend.

Arrest and Shaheedi
During an operation by Punjab Police and CRPF, Bhai Karaj Singh and Tarlochan Singh got caught near Jallandhar and were extremely tortured, Bhai Karaj Singh ji stayed on his words and never opened his mouth, but Bhai Tarlochan Singh couldn’t bear the torture and opened his mouth. This lead to Bhai Sahib's Maasi and parents being arrested and also Bhai Sahib jis weapons also seized by the police.

On 29 December 1988, Bhai Karaj Singh and Tarlochan Singh ji were shot dead in a fake encounter. Bhai Karaj Singh ji took on him 3rd degree tortured peacefully, but never opened his mouth. Here a forgotten dimaond of the Sikh panth left his physical form, but his views, ideals and Soch is still alive and it will live till we have our Freedom.Today if you go to Bhai Sahib ji's village, Sidhva, there stands a Nishan Sahib in the memory of Great Soldier Bhai Karaj Singh Sidva.

The New Salvo by Nindaks

From centuries, evil forces of this planet are trying to subdue the Great Revolution launched by Sikh Gurus, starting from Guru Nanak Dev to Guru Gobind Singh. Time of Guru Gobind Singh ji was the greatest period of this revolution, when thousands and thousands of oppressed human souls attained freedom from their fear and joined Army of Timeless Lord to fight oppression and establish Kingdom of Peace. It was the charismatic persona of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj which infused the spirit of Martyrdom in those who feared death. It was the immortal flow of his Baani composed in Bir Ras that eradicated dirt of discrimination, broke walls of division and uplifted the conscience of those who had been suffering in slavery from ages.

Gursikhs who had darshan of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj praised him as The Perfect Satguru, as Manifestation of All Powerful Waheguru. Bhai Gurdas Singh ji wrote about Guru Gobind Singh ji as -

The life patron of Praans, is the perfect Supreme Soul.
Har, the Sustaining Lord, is not deficient in protection.
Hail! Manifested is the Supreme Being in the countenance of gallant Guru Gobind Singh,
Who is spectacular, and with his marvels, profusely he is Satguru, the True Lord.
Remember day and night, the virtues of Har who, at the times honest, endows truth.
Hail, hail (Guru) Gobind Singh; He, Himself, is the Master and the Disciple too.

Bhai Nand Laal ji says -
Guru Gobind Singh Ji is the king of both worlds
Guru Gobind Singh Ji is the warrior who gives life to enemies (108)

Guru Gobind Singh Ji puts a veil over everyone's sins
Guru Gobind Singh Ji is a cloud of mercy (110)

Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj’s entire life is an example of Love and Sacrifice. He was the one Merciful Satguru who came to this world to teach meaning of Love and Mercy to this World.

A Hindu writer, Lala Daulat Rai writes in his famous book ‘Mahabali Guru Gobind Singh ‘

‘When entire Mercy, Knowledge, Power and Light of God united, a Soul took form, the Soul which came on this planet as Guru Gobind Singh ji’.

We Sikhs love all our Gurus as ONE Light, as One Power. Our Gurus were One, from One they became Ten and today those Ten are again One in form of Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj. Guru Gobind Singh ji writes in his Baani Bachittar Natak

All (Ignorant people) perceived the Gurus (Spiritual Masters) as dissimilar entities.
Only a few recognized the Gurus as one and ,the same.
They, who knew this fact, attained spiritual power.
They, who did not make it out, attained no such power. (10)

It was the fearless call of Guru Gobind Singh ji to rise and fight for Dharam, which inspired thousands to join the great revolution to overthrow the tyrannical Mughal Empire. It was he who had courage to say

Guru Gobind Singh had to sacrifice his four Sons, Mother and ten cousins in this Great War against Tyranny, still stood like a mountain in face of every adversity. It was he who didn’t let his Sikh cover body of his martyred son in battlefield, saying ‘Cover bodies of all my Sikhs as well, if you don’t have cloth for them, leave his body uncovered ‘.

It was Guru Gobind Singh who had said at Damdama Sahib replying to Mata Sundariji’s query about Four Sahibzadey

Guru Gobind Singh ji’s Love for his Sikhs, his sacrifice, the pain and suffering he underwent for his Sikhi and Sikhs have been part of collective Panthic conscience from ages. His Kalgi, His Baaz, His horse, his Bow, His arrows, his sword, his Battle drum, his Flag, everything related to Guru Gobind Singh ji is part of a Sikh’s daily life.

Say ‘Kalgidhar’ (plume wearer) in front of a Sikh and Sikh will think about Guru Gobind Singh ji (despite the fact that all Gurus from Sixth Satguru ji wore Kalgi). Say Baajan wala and a Sikh will take Guru Gobind Singh ji’s name (even sixth, seventh and ninth Guruji kept Baaz). Its his memory, his sacrifice, his Baani, his inspiring call which has inspired generations of Sikhs till today to stand up and fight for Dharam.

But the forces of evil are trying from ages to destroy this phenomenon called Guru Gobind Singh ji. They tried hard when he was on this planet in physical form, but failed. After He transformed in Shabad roop, his physical form, Khalsa Panth was subjected to massacres, genocides, inhuman tortures, still Spirit of Kalgidhar Dasmesh Pita kept alive the Panth. For centuries, the enemies have tried to remove Guru Gobind Singh ji from conscience of Khalsa Panth, to eradicate the warrior spirit and distinct identity of Sikhs. These forces of evil know that until Amrit, Baani and Baana blessed by Guru Gobind Singh ji is around, no power on this planet can annihilate Khalsa Panth.

Nindaks, the agents of Evil have started a massive slanderous parchar against Baani of Guru Gobind Singh ji in recent form. These people are in form of Sikhs, wearing the Baana given by Guru Gobind Singh ji. The evilness of their motives can be gauged from the fact that they have tried to present Sri Dasam Granth (Baani of Guru Gobind Singh ji maharaj, source of Sikh’s Amrit, Nitnem and Ardas) as an opponent of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Its obvious that NO Sikh can tolerate anything against honour or respect of Guru Granth Sahib ji. Nindaks have based their whole koor parchar on this very point, which is a false and highly condemnable act of theirs. Khalsa Panth has been taking on and answering these Guru-Nindaks properly on every front, in every possible way.

Now these traitors of Guru have started a new koor parchar, which although being a direct attack on position and esteem of Guru Gobind Singh ji, has been veiled in form of respect of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji. Just like Satkaar and Honour of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji was challenged in garb of respect of Guru Granth Sahib ji, Satkaar of Guru Gobind Singh ji has been challenged in garb of respect of Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Questions have been raised on issue of

  • Creation of Panth

  • Father of Panth

  • And Saviour of Panth (Panth de Vaali)

Nindaks, in their mission to remove Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj’s contribution and sacrifices in creation of Khalsa Panth, have questioned the very role of Guru Gobind Singh ji as creator of Panth. They claim that by calling Guru Gobind Singh ji as ‘Panth de Vaali’ (saviour of Panth), Sikhs are going against Guru Nanak Dev. Isn’t it ridiculous? Either a naive and stupid person or a highly mischievous person can raise such doubts, and these points have been raised by Avtar Singh missionary (USA) and his Nindak Brigade of Singh Sabha Canada. Reason is straight, their only mission is what is being tried by Anti-Panth forces from ages, to erase Guru Gobind Singh ji from collective Panthic conscience. Firstly an attack on Guru Gobind Singh ji’s Baani, then on Amrit, Nitnem and Ardas of Khalsa Panth, then an attack on very formation of Khalsa Panth and now casting doubts and raising questions on Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj’s authority and role as Father of Panth prove that these Nindaks are ponies in hands of those who want to see Khalsa Panth decimated.

Even a thought of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj, of his Kalgi and his Baaz, of his Blue Horse and his Sword is capable of infusing in a Sikh the spirit with which he can fight millions alone in battlefield. And this is the thing which enemies of Khalsa Panth fear. This was the intention with which they attacked Baani of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj, but they failed. And this latest attack on very Authority of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj by nindaks of Guru and Panth will prove to be a nail in their coffin. This is the time to expose and unveil the ugly face of these enemies of Panth in front of Sangat, making Sikh Sangat around the world aware of misdeeds of these so-called missionaries and fake singh sabhias.

Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh ji are ONE Light, ONE Jot, and whoever tries to create difference between them will fail misreably, just like those who tried to create a wede between Guru Granth Sahib ji and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib failed.

Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj is the embodiment of Truth, Mercy, Love and Knowledge. Those who Love Dasmesh pita ji are blessed with supreme knowledge and divine power, and those who have tried to harm Satguruji or his Panth, have been erased from face of this earth, forever. It’s a benti to all the Singhs/Singhaniya who can do sewa to counter this koor parchar to take up the Sewa and stand shoulder to shoulder with us in this fight for honor of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj and His Holy Baani.

Sri Akaal ji Sahai

Love - Soul of Faith

Sikhi teaches to feel the pain and melt

Today as I was going over various Punjabi newspapers, and I read this news of a 5-year old kid being murdered by his kidnappers. The child was kidnapped on his way to school and abductors demanded a ransom of one million rupees. As the worried parents negotiated, the deal was finalized at Rs.400, 000. Uncle of child went to give money and police, as planned, reached the spot to nab the criminals. But the negligent and careless police officers didn’t act on time and the kidnappers went away with money. And then, after a few days the little kid was murdered and his body thrown near a road.

This incident has got nothing to do with my personal life, but still I, as a human can feel the pain of parents who lost their beautiful son, who never came back after going to school. I couldn’t stop my tears, it was, as if he was somewhat related to me. And I believe every Kid; every child is related to ME, with his innocence, with his closeness to Infinity, He is close to me. Whenever I see a kid smiling or playing, it gives me joy, I forget my sorrow, my pain and try to be one with the joy emanating from the smile and eyes of that kid. I love kids and they love me back. For me every child is form of god, to be loved, to be treasured. And when I saw the picture of this child who was murdered by demons in form of humans, I broke down. How can a human do this? It takes heart of an animal to kill a small child. Few days back was a report of a 4-year old being killed by his neighbours for money. These types of things make me think, where is all the humanity, the godly virtues gone? A child goes to school and his parents remain worried about their kid. A young woman goes to school, college or work and there are hundreds around who watch her with filth of vikaars in their eyes. And it’s not just in Punjab or India, its everywhere in world. Couple of years back, we had a painful incident in UK, where a 17 month old baby, Baby P, was brutally tortured and murdered by his step-father, right in front of his mother’s eyes, who didn’t stop the inhuman beast from inflicting torture on little soul.

These things take the mind in awastha where it’s hard to stay calm and composite. We all believe there is a God, watching over all of us and delivering justice to all. We also say everything happens in Hukam, but are these things acts of Hukam? Are they will of God?  No way. Waheguru the Merciful can never do these things. It’s the weakened human mind, weakened by Lust and Anger, Greed and Pride, Attachment and Ego, which commits such acts. Yes, at the end of day, when Mind gives up, when there is no other mean left to soothe it, to pacify it, we chose the words such as ‘God’s will’ , ‘Hukam’ and ‘Raza’. But practically, it can never be Hukam of God to commit such heinous crimes. Some people try to bring in ‘Karmic Theory’ in these happenings. Often Karam (deeds and misdeeds) of last lives are blamed for the pain and suffering which human undergoes in this life. But shall we blame everything on Karams of last lives? If that’s the way, then there should be no police, no army, no law and no courts to bring people to justice for their deeds. It’s easy to ‘point’ at deeds of past lives, but that’s not practical. This is not Hukam of Waheguru and not bad karams of last lives. These are heinous crimes against humanity, against creation of God which should be properly punished.

Shaheedi of Sahibzadey was not ‘Bhaana of Waheguru’, but an evil act of Vazeer Khan. If it was Bhaana of Akaal Purakh, Guruji would not have sent Baba Banda Singh ji Bahadur to punish the evil tyrants. The killings of innocent Sikh children in jails of Mir Manu, the cutting of kid’s bodies, sewing them as garland and  putting around mother’s neck, hanging crying little kids on spears can never be seen as Bhaana or Hukam of Waheguru, else Khalsa Panth would not have punished Mir Manu and Mughal forces. People have to be held accountable for their deeds and punished Khalsa way, that’s Bhaana of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj. ‘Karam Sidhant’ is fine for few things, not all. Most of the things which happen in ‘this’ life are due to karams of ‘this’ life and not some unknown life. And we are fully accountable for them. Good deeds will ultimately lead to good result and bad ones will definitely have bad results. If I do something good, I shouldn’t expect the result in some next life, but in this itself, and if I do something bad in this life, I ought to pay for it in this life. It’s all about how we use our senses given by Waheguru, how we use our mind and intellect. One bad deed leads to another, it’s like a chain reaction. Karam leads to Karam, good one to good one and bad one to bad one.

We, as Sikhs of Guru should always try to feel pain of others in our hearts. The one who cannot feel pain of others, who can walk away smilingly even after looking at tears of others can never be close to God. Daya, compassion is mother of Dharam. Start having Daya for others, Waheguru will have Daya on us. And one day, this Compassion will become Dharam, which will lead us to Waheguru. Each Gursikh is an agent of Waheguru Akaal Purakh, giving out message of Waheguru’s Naam, Truth, human virtues to each and everyone in this world. Gursikhs of Guru have been given duty by Waheguru to establish Dharam on this planet and act as Army of Timeless lord, which is most compassionate to those who are innocent, but has the power to vanquish tyrants with the fury of Bir-ras emanating from Compassion and Human virtues in their own self. Wherever we are, whatever we do, its duty of every Sikh to see around him that Dharam is upheld. Khalsa is sovereign Army of Akaal Purakh and it’s the duty of Khalsa warriors (Naam Abhyaasi Gurmukhs) to stand guard of Humanity. Remember, the more we are close to Waheguru, far we are from our unreal-self. As we get closer to Waheguru, the spirit to do something positive for Panth, for humanity comes by itself. A Sikh never waits for Shubh Karam (holy deeds). A Sikh never looks at useless philosophies of scholars and writers to seek guidance to carry out Hukam of Waheguru, as enshrined in Baani of Guru Granth Sahib ji. Sikh has to has compassion in him if he wants to get close to Waheguru. Sikh has to melt like wax if he wishes to enter Abode of Waheguru, as Guru Arjan Dev ji says –

He makes all sorts of efforts, but his soul is still not softened
how can he go to the Court of the Lord?

As Sikhs, it’s our duty to spread the beautiful message of our Father Guru Nanak Dev ji to entire humanity, which was propagated by Nine Gurus after him and today which is enshrined in Baani of Guru Granth Sahib ji, The message of Compassion and humility, message of Naam and Baani. This is the only way demonic virtues can be defeated and humane virtues resurrected in Human race. And still if the demonic forces try to destroy humanity and humans, torture and kill innocents, then Khalsa shall take up the role of Holy Warrior and destroy the demons with the Chandi blessed by Guru Gobind Singh ji. Khalsa is the one who feels the pain of others as his own pain, who never hesitates to fight and die for others who can’t do it themselves. Khalsa is the one who can laugh heartedly like a child with a small little kid and at same time fight like a lion with the beast who tries to harm that kid. Khalsa is the one who just doesn’t protects his own sister and daughter, but he’s the one who’ll stand up any time, any day for honor of any woman, irrespective of her caste, colour, race or religion, seeing the woman as her own sister, own daughter, his own mother. Its not the virtue of Khalsa, a Gursikh to sit down idly, continue watching the injustice happen, to let Adharam prevail and then blame everything on Karams of some past lives or power of Kalyug. Khalsa is rebel, revolutionary and that’s what Guru Gobind Singh ji made us. The day we recognized our true self in mirror of Gurbaani and Sikhi principles, we’ll feel the pain of every innocent who’s been killed, tortured, insulted and dishonored. That day we’ll cry to Waheguru and Waheguru will bless us with power to stand up for Dharam, be a Karm-yogi, a Sant-Sipahi and act on His Behalf.

In the end, I’ll leave you with this beautiful Vaar of Bhai Gurdaas ji -

The houses are lit by lighting the lamps but still the thieves also roam about for the purpose of stealing.
The householders shut the doors of their homes and shops before they go to sleep.
The sun with its light dispels the darkness of night.
Likewise the Gurmukh making people understand the importance of name (meditation), Daan (charity), and ishnaan(ablution) sets them free from the bondage (of life and death).
The pleasure fruit of Gurmukhs is the company of Holy persons through which animals, ghosts and the fallen ones are salvaged and liberated.
Such beneficent persons are dear to the Guru.(7)

Sant Gurbachan Singh ji's love for Singhs

Sant Jee used to have love for everyone, but still when they would see an Amritdharee and Rehat Vala Singh they would get very happy. They treated all the Singhs in the Jatha as their own sons. Every Singh in the Jatha used to think that Sant Jee loves me more than every other Singh in the Jatha that is how much love they had for the Singhs in the Jatha. Because of this love a lot of the Singhs had decided to spend their entire lives with Sant Jee in the Jatha.
One time at Bhindra, Giani Mani Singh Jee said to Sant Jee “Sant Jee, you should only allow Singhs that are highly educated to join the Jatha, don’t let those join that are not highly educated or who are not educated at all.” Hearing this Sant Jee started to laugh and said “Mani Singh Jee, God resides in uneducated people as well.” Hearing this Singhs were amazed.
When Sant Jee’s body was sick, Jathedar Gurdial singh, Sant Ajaib Singh and many Singhs used to come to a village near Jagraon by the name of Malak, to visit them. Jathedar Gurdial Singh Jee said “Sant Jee your body is weak, make the Jatha smaller” but Sant Jee said “who knows, if God wills this Jatha might even get bigger than this”.
Near Fategarh Sahib a village by the name of Saimplee, Giani Preetam Singh Jee asked Sant Jee for permission to leave the Jatha. Sant Jee said a little angrily:

(Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Ang 932)

The Gurmukh comes and goes without fear.

Giani jee said that if you are angry then I won’t leave. Sant Jee said that when a devoted Singh that reads Bani leaves the Jatha, the pain I feel is similar to the pain I would feel if a body part was cut from my body. Giani Jee says after hearing these words from Sant Jee’s mouth, I felt like crying and told Sant Jee that if that is how you feel, then I won’t leave.
So Giani Jee stayed in the Jatha, and 10 months later Sant Jee called him over and told him that now you can leave and you will leave with my happiness. But never stop doing Katha. And Giani Jee tells that even when he and Giani Mani Singh were leaving, Sant Jee walked for 5 miles with him, to see him off. Giani Jee says that we told Sant Jee many times to go back, but they only went back once they had put us on a car and sent us away. Just like Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee says:

(Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib)

I am dignified due to them otherwise millions of impoverished persons like me, remain unsupported.
